UKIP MEP "TOLD TO SIT DOWN AND BEHAVE"- WATSON

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 7th Oct 2009

South West UKIP MEP William Dartmouth was today ticked off by the President of the European Parliament and Polish MEP Jerzy Buzek.

Dartmouth rose on a point of order and criticised the President for having given "a thoroughly subjective" report of last week's Irish referendum. Dartmouth said "you had promised before your election to be an objective President".

"You clearly did not listen to all my words" said Buzek, who had gone out of his way in his remarks to recognise the validity of the point of view of the 'No' voters.

South West Liberal Democrat MEP Graham Watson commented;

"It was 'Just William' misbehaving at school all over again."
