GRAHAM WATSON ATTENDS SOMERSET TWINNING DINNER

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 23rd May 2009

European Parliamentary elections candidate Graham Watson will tonight attend a dinner dance with the Wiveliscombe Twinning Association.

Mr. Watson - who is first on the party list for the June 4 elections - will be joined by MP for Taunton Jeremy Browne at the event later.

The event is taking place to mark the visit of citizens of Wiveliscombe's twin town of Le Lion d'Angers.

Speaking ahead of the dinner, Graham Watson said:

"I'm very supportive of twinning schemes like this, which enable towns like Wiveliscombe to benefit from close ties with neighbouring countries in Europe. I'm looking forward to celebrating the success of this venture with the Wiveliscombe Twinning Association and their visitors tonight"

*The event takes place at Oake Manor on Saturday 23 May at 7.15pm. For further information, please contact Rachael Dry on 01458 259176 or 07748 419467
